The original recipe called for turkey feather wings with white tips but was seldom ever used. It was invented by sea-run cutthroat expert Morrie Kenton of Tacoma, WA. In it’s beginning it became very popular on the Klamath River in Calf.
Later Morrie refined his pattern to specifically target sea-run cutthroat which had a wing of white bucktail and peacock sword fibers for the topping
